POSITION SUMMARY: AtomTech is seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechatronics Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced automation systems. This role involves hands-on work with electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotics, and autonomous vehicle technologies. You’ll play a key part in ensuring high-performance equipment runs safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

This role involves hands-on work with electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotics, and autonomous vehicle technologies. You’ll play a key part in ensuring high-performance equipment runs safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency required
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Flexible schedule availability (including overtime and weekends as needed)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across automated systems
- Experience with mechanical/electrical integration or assembly
- Background in controls, robotics or instrumentation engineering
- Electricians with a strong aptitude for PLC and robot programming will also be considered
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated and robotic systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Maintain and repair material-handling equipment and facility racking
- Complete maintenance documentation, inspections, and compliance tasks
- Install and service motors, sensors, relays, solenoids, and motor starters
- Assist with PLC and electronics troubleshooting
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to system reliability
- Manage and track tools, spare parts, and component inventory
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve equipment concerns
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces on job sites and in-house
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
- Provide clear updates regarding job status, delays or technical concerns
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Maintain professionalism in all customer-facing interactions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasional handling of loads up to 100 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable working in warehouse, manufacturing and industrial environments with noise, dust, temperature changes and uneven surfaces
- Full manual dexterity for tool and equipment operation; ability to work in tight or elevated spaces
